The Dingo Fence, also known as the Dog Fence, is one of the longest structures in the world, stretching over 5,600 km across Australia. Originally built in the 1880s, its main purpose was to protect fertile farmland and livestock - especially sheep -from wild dingoes. The fence is longer than the Great Wall of China and is regularly patrolled and maintained by landowners and authorities to ensure it remains intact.
